Hand-painted art inventory for art leasing companies to own outright

iHomeArt supplies hand-painted original canvases to art leasing companies, art rental firms and art subscription services, sold outright so the stock is yours to rent to offices, homes and home stagers. Every work keeps its catalogue code, so the pieces that rent best can be painted again, at the sizes your hooks and frames already use.

Where do art leasing companies source paintings they can own?

From artists on consignment, from galleries, or from a studio such as iHomeArt that paints originals to order and sells them outright to your company.

Most rental collections mix all three. iHomeArt, the trade channel of Siji Art Hub in Foshan, covers what rotation leans on hardest: depth, matching sizes and pieces you can order again. The roles are simple: we sell, you rent. The contracts, the rotation calendar and each customer stay entirely with your company.

Office art rental, homes, staging: which originals rent best to each?

Offices rent calm abstracts and quiet landscapes, households rent colour, florals and views, and stagers want warm neutrals that photograph well.

A facilities manager on an office art rental contract wants work nobody on the floor objects to; a household wants something it loves. Stock each customer type as its own tier. What head offices pick when they buy their own art, on corporate HQ and professional offices, is a good guide to what your office accounts will ask for.

What sizes make an art rental inventory easy to swap between walls?

Three or four house sizes, mostly in one proportion, so every hook, frame and crate takes any piece in its tier.

Every rotation is a de-install and an install. When the stock shares a few sizes, hooks stay put, crates swap and the van packs the same way every run. Each canvas is painted to order, so the inventory can be built on sizes you choose, such as:

TierSizeWhere it rents
Small61 × 51 cm (24 × 20 in)Desks, home offices and subscription pieces sent to homes
Standard91 × 61 cm (36 × 24 in)Open-plan walls, corridors, bedrooms
Large122 × 81 cm (48 × 32 in)Meeting rooms and the wall above a sofa
Hero153 × 102 cm (60 × 40 in)Reception walls and boardroom end walls

The top three tiers share one 3:2 proportion, so a design that rents well at 91 × 61 cm can come back at 122 × 81 cm looking the same, only bigger. Fix orientation per tier too: if meeting-room hooks are set for horizontal pieces, order them all horizontal; a vertical favourite can be redrawn as a horizontal through the Resize route.

Which finishes stand up to years of rotation, handling and storage?

Framed canvases in flat or moderate brushwork travel between customers best; keep heavy knife texture and plaster relief for long placements on one wall.

Frame the tiers that move most. A frame takes the knocks in vans and stairwells that would otherwise land on the canvas edge, and one house frame across a tier makes the stock read as a collection. We frame in black, white, wood, gold or silver, boxed with hooks.

Or roll canvases into your own frames. Rolled is the cheapest finish to ship and the quickest to arrive; your framer stretches it into your house moulding and fits the hardware your installers already carry.

Match texture to the contract. Thick knife-laid paint and plaster relief suffer first when pieces are stacked and carried. They ship stretched or framed rather than rolled, and belong on a boardroom wall for a year rather than in a van every quarter. A textured design that rents well can be painted thinner so it rolls and handles more easily, agreed before painting.

Acrylic suits a moving stock. Our standard medium dries to a flexible film, which suits canvases that are wrapped and rehung often; oil is painted on request. Rack canvases upright, card between them, rather than stacking them flat.

How do art leasing companies dress a whole office floor as one set?

With sets: one catalogue work varied into four to six related canvases, or a handful of works in one palette, stored, labelled and rotated together.

An office with twenty hanging positions wants the floor to look considered, not like twenty unrelated pictures. The Vary route paints a family from one catalogue work, the same hand and palette in different compositions or colourways, so a run of meeting rooms reads as one scheme.

For a leasing company the set is also the unit of rotation: one stock line, one consignment, and when a floor's three months are up the whole floor changes to another set. Two sets in contrasting palettes, cool grey and ink against warm ochre and sage, let one account alternate through a year-long contract without a repeat. Browse geometric and abstract works for families that sit easily in offices, and Wabi-Sabi for quieter floors.

What makes owned stock pay its way over many rentals?

Each canvas is bought once and earns on every placement, so what matters is how many contracts it serves and how cheaply it moves between them.

We price every order individually, usually within one business day. Four choices move the price, each with a rental logic:

  • Size. Price follows canvas area. Most rentals happen in the standard tier, so keep hero sizes for designs customers ask for by name.
  • Surface. Heavy texture takes more paint and drying time and ships in bigger boxes; put it where contracts are long.
  • Finish. Rolled costs least to buy and ship; framed costs most but goes straight into the van. Rolled volume tiers plus framed hero pieces is a sensible balance.
  • Quantity. Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces per order, so a season's stock ordered together prices better than canvases ordered one at a time.

Shipping is quoted separately: we find the best carrier route to your warehouse and confirm the cost before anything leaves.

How does a 40-piece tranche stay consistent from first canvas to last?

One stock list, one approved first piece and a photo check at every stage, with each canvas labelled by its code and your own stock number.

Send the date your racks need the tranche, and the quote gives a delivery date for all of it.

  1. Send the stock listCodes or customer types to shortlist for, house sizes, finish, colourways, quantities and your stock numbers.
  2. Prove one pieceIf we are new to you, put a single canvas through a real rotation first: van, install, de-install, rack.
  3. Quote and depositA price per piece and a delivery date; painting starts once you accept and pay 50% against the proforma invoice.
  4. Painted in stagesPhotos or video of every canvas at each stage, held to the approved first piece; each stage waits for your approval.
  5. Final photographsYou approve a photograph of each finished canvas, ready for your inventory register; the balance is paid and the tranche packed.
  6. Shipped to your racksAbout 10 days of painting, then 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS express, or air or sea freight for a large tranche, with the cost confirmed before dispatch.

Can we re-order the codes that rent best, or replace a piece that has gone?

Yes: every work is painted to order, so any code can be painted again as a new original, at the same size or another, as often as your bookings call for it.

Your rental history is your best buying guide: re-order first the codes that go out most. A code that rents in grey may rent again in an account's teal through the Recolour route, and a meeting-room favourite can come back larger for a reception through Resize.

The same re-order fills the gaps: a piece marked in a move, lost at a site, or bought by a customer at the end of a contract. The new canvas is painted by hand from the same composition, so its brushwork differs slightly from the first.

Master works by senior partnered artists are the one exception to resizing and recolouring: kept exactly as painted and quoted individually, they suit the top of a collection rather than the volume tiers.

How do we refresh an art leasing inventory each season?

With one tranche ahead of each season: a few new codes to test, re-orders of the designs that rented best, and proven designs recoloured into the palette customers are asking for.

A rental collection goes stale from the inside: the popular pieces are always out, and the racks fill with the rest. A seasonal tranche of roughly a third new codes, a third re-orders and a third recolours keeps the pool fresh without retiring stock that still earns; let your bookings set the mix.

Work back from the season's first installs and send the brief as bookings come in; the quote states the delivery date. Browse by colour for the season's palette, from green and blue to terracotta and gold, and by mood, from uplifting for spring to cozy and warm for winter; florals are the easiest seasonal swap for homes.

Art subscription inventory: what changes when the pieces go to homes?

Smaller sizes, lighter frames, a wider spread of subjects and several originals of each popular design, because every subscriber sees only the piece on their own wall.

A subscription service sends a piece to a home, swaps it after a month or a season and sends it on. Sizes come down to what one person can carry and hang alone, mostly the small and standard tiers, framed so the piece goes straight up on its hooks and its edges survive the courier. Subjects spread wider than office stock: florals, landscapes, colourful abstracts and the odd animal.

Since no two members compare walls, a popular design can be painted several times as separate originals, so members do not queue for the favourite. Browse living room, bedroom and home office art, and if you also sell from a shop, see galleries and framers.

Art leasing inventory: questions rental firms ask

Does iHomeArt lease or rent art itself?

No, we sell. Every piece is sold outright to your company as a trade purchase, and from then on it is your stock. Rental contracts, rotation schedules and any purchase option at the end of a term are between you and your customers; our part is painting the work, having it approved and delivering it.

Can you deliver straight to a customer's office instead of our warehouse?

Yes. Give us the site address and a contact name with the order and the pieces travel there directly, ready for your installers, while your company stays the buyer we quote and invoice. Framed or stretched pieces suit a direct delivery best, since there is no framer between the box and the wall.

Can you paint reproductions of famous paintings for our rental stock?

Yes. Offices and homes often ask for a Monet water garden or a Van Gogh landscape, and we paint reproductions by hand at the size your tier needs. Paintings still in copyright need the rights holder's permission, so public-domain masters are the easy place to start, and a deep, well-loved list.

Can a customer's own photograph, building or logo become a painting we supply?

Yes. We paint from a photograph, a view, an architect's render or a brand mark: see paintings from your own image. A piece like that suits one customer only, so agree with them before ordering whether it joins your rental stock for their contract or is sold to them outright at the start.

What happens if a tranche arrives at our warehouse damaged?

It is rare: careful packing and trusted carriers keep our return rate under 0.01%. If a piece does arrive damaged, photograph the box and the canvas before unpacking further and send us the photos. We take the claim up with the carrier and work out a solution with you, such as a replacement or a refund.

Can we return pieces that turn out not to rent?

Every finished canvas is approved from its photograph before it ships, so approved pieces are final. The way to keep slow renters out of the racks is to test first: order one or two canvases of a new code, rotate them for a season, and re-order in volume only what keeps going out.

Do you supply prop houses, set decorators and event hire firms?

Yes, on the same trade terms. Hire for film, television and events turns stock over in days rather than months, so the advice here applies even more: standard sizes, framed pieces and codes you can re-order when one comes back marked. A set that needs one exact wall can have a canvas painted to fit it.

Are these originals, or prints with brushwork added on top?

Originals. Each piece is painted by hand on bare canvas, in acrylic as standard or oil on request, with nothing printed underneath. The stage photographs you approve show each painting being built up, and they make a good answer for any customer who asks what exactly they are renting.
