About this painting

A black wedge runs the full height of the left edge, and against it a drift of cream, white and taupe shapes overlap like pieces of folded paper.

The colours stay close together, warm white, grey-taupe and khaki, with two notes of rust red: a small shard near the top and a larger angular piece at lower centre. A strip of deep brown and a sliver of ochre close the upper right corner. Each shape is brushed in with soft edges, a scatter of white specks drifts across the upper left like motes caught in sunlight, and one loose white stroke sweeps along the bottom.

WA#218 is an original wabi-sabi geometric painting showing soft abstract shapes in cream, taupe, black and rust, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Mostly cream and taupe, it belongs in rooms dressed in oak, linen, rattan and travertine. Above a cream headboard the black edge gives the pale wall enough weight that the canvas does not disappear. In an office it works behind a conference table, where a busier abstract would compete with the people seated there. Hang it with the black edge nearest a window or door frame so the dark line echoes the architecture.

Specified for guest room & suite, workspace & office, living room and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and cozy & warm.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#218 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#218 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the rust shapes in WA#218 do in the composition?

They are the only saturated colour in the painting: a small shard near the top and a larger angular block low in the centre. Together they set up a diagonal through the pale shapes, which gives the picture movement, and they offer an easy link to cognac leather or terracotta.

Could the rust accents in WA#218 be changed to sage or dusty blue?

Yes. Both rust red shapes could instead be sage, dusty blue or ochre while the cream, taupe and black stay as they are, shifting the canvas from warm to cool without touching the composition. Keep to a single accent colour so the quiet balance holds.

Is WA#218 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#218 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#218 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
