Wide beige and gold peony bloom textured canvas wall decor

A single white peony opens on the left third of the canvas, its ruffled petals sculpted in thick paint, while a long sweep of gold streams away from it toward the upper right corner.

The bloom is modelled white on white, with warm taupe and caramel in the folds instead of grey, so it stays soft. The gold is handled more loosely, dragged and feathered into fine branching veins over ivory and cream cloud, and a pale grey-white mist fills the lower right. One dense, raised shape set against a wide stretch of quiet ground gives the composition its wabi-sabi lean: deliberately off-balance and unhurried.
