Nine white blossoms with saffron centres float in a loose row across a cool blue-grey field, their petals pushed up in thick, creamy strokes that catch the light along every curled edge. Behind each flower sits a pocket of near-black shadow, and that is what makes the white look so bright.

Above and below the band, the ground is streaked with thin vertical drips and scraped pale blocks, while small white dots and tiny florets fall through it like loose petals in the rain. The top and bottom strips stay quiet, so the blooms own the centre line.
