About this painting

Rows of white surf curl over and spill onto a beige beach, the nearest wave breaking into a lace of foam that spreads across the sand in the lower third.

Behind it, three or four more crests line up towards a flat steel-blue horizon under a soft grey sky with wisps of white cloud. The breaking lips are the sculpted part, folded over like the inside of a curl and standing proud enough to throw small shadows, while the sea between them is smoother and the sand is laid in flat horizontal knife strokes. The palette is close to monochrome, so the relief does most of the work.

TA#1042 is an original textured seascape painting showing sculpted white plaster waves breaking on a sandy beach under a pale sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The horizon sits high, so the sea fills most of the picture; hang it with that line slightly above standing eye level and the waves seem to come towards the room. It belongs where the sound of water would be welcome: a spa reception, a coastal hotel room, a beach-house living room. Ivory, stone and blue-grey walls let the white crests glow, and soft even daylight shows the folded plaster in the most detail.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, living room and bathroom; it reads as peaceful and calming.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1042 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1042 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is the sea in TA#1042 so pale?

The sky and water are mixed with plenty of white and grey, so the blue reads like an overcast morning rather than a tropical noon. That restraint lets the white crests stand out through texture instead of colour contrast, and keeps the painting calm next to strongly coloured furniture.

How do the wave crests of TA#1042 look from the side?

Seen at an angle, the curling lips stand clear of the canvas and their undersides fall into shadow, so the band of surf looks closer to shallow sculpture than paint. The sand and sky stay nearly flat, which keeps the relief concentrated across the middle of the picture.

Is TA#1042 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1042 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1042 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
