About this painting

Hydrangea heads in cornflower blue and white spill across the left two-thirds of the wide canvas, then break apart into single florets that drift into open cream on the right.

Each four-petal floret is its own knife dab of thick paint, with the white ones standing highest so they catch light against deeper blue and violet shadow. Olive and khaki leaves show at the upper left and lower centre, and the bottom-left corner dissolves into soft grey-blue strokes. Because the density fades from left to right, the picture has a direction, like blossom loosening from the branch.

TA#868 is an original textured floral painting showing thick impasto blue and white hydrangea blooms on cream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The landscape format belongs on long walls: above a three-seat sofa, a dining banquette or a sideboard, with the canvas spanning roughly two-thirds the length of the seat or sideboard beneath. Since the flowers crowd the left and thin out to the right, it sits well where the right-hand end of the wall is near a window, so the airy side meets the light. In a restaurant, blue and white looks fresh against whitewashed brick or pale tongue-and-groove panelling.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as calming and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#868 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#868 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the hydrangeas in TA#868 fade out towards the right?

The fade is part of the composition: blooms are packed at the left and loosen into separate florets and bare cream on the right, so the canvas reads like a branch leaning into light. The open area also gives a long wall breathing space above a busy sofa or sideboard.

Could the hydrangeas in TA#868 be painted pink or lilac instead of blue?

Yes, and it stays true to the plant: garden hydrangeas turn blue in acid soil and pink in alkaline soil. The white florets, olive leaves and cream ground would stay as they are, keeping the same open feel with a warmer mood.

Is TA#868 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#868 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#868 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
