About this painting

Seen from ground level, a tangle of poppies in crimson, pink, coral, yellow and violet tilts up against a bright blue summer sky.

The low viewpoint is what sets it apart: the blooms tower overhead on curving green stems, the largest, a crimson flower with a pink outer petal, hanging near the top centre. Every petal comes from one loaded pass of the knife, curled over at the edge, and the sky behind is laid in broad slabs of cerulean and turquoise with chunky white clouds. Along the bottom, smaller heads in lilac, cobalt and orange crowd over a patch of brown earth.

CA#053 is an original colorful floral painting showing multicolour poppies against a bright blue sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Nearly square, it needs less wall than a panoramic piece and fits between pilasters, inside a moulded panel or above a bed headboard in a guest suite. The upward view works best hung a little higher than usual, so people look up into the flowers just as the painter did. Pale walls and simple panelling let all six flower colours stay distinct; against busy wallpaper they would blur together. A single picture light above shows off the curled petal edges.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, guest room & suite and living room; it reads as uplifting and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#053 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#053 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is CA#053 painted from so low down?

Looking up from the soil puts the poppies against open sky instead of against more field, so each coloured head has a clean blue background and keeps its own outline. It also makes even small flowers feel large, which is why the canvas can hold a big wall despite its simple subject.

Could CA#053 be painted with only red and white poppies?

Yes. The low view, the blue sky and the knife work stay the same, and the crimson, pink, coral, yellow and violet heads are repainted in scarlet and white. That gives a crisper, more graphic version that suits a navy or monochrome room.

Is CA#053 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#053 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#053 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
