About this painting

An elephant's head fills the left half of a white canvas in profile, its ear, brow and curling trunk built entirely from short, thick slabs of turquoise, cobalt, scarlet and yellow.

The back of the head and the ear run off the left edge, which pushes the animal forward toward the empty right side, where a single pale grey-blue tusk points out into bare white. Strokes follow the form: they cross the trunk in bands, so it reads as rings of muscle, and cluster around the small dark eye. The trunk ends in a curl of red with yellow flecks, the hottest spot on the canvas.

CA#078 is an original colorful animal painting showing elephant head built from vivid palette-knife strokes on white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Since the elephant faces right, place it so the tusk points into the space: on the left-hand wall of an entrance or to the left of a shop counter, greeting visitors as they turn. A white or pale grey wall lets the bare background merge with the plaster, so the head seems to push out of the wall. Light from one side picks out the ridge of each slab, and pale oak or polished concrete keeps the colour the loudest thing in view.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#078 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#078 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is the elephant in CA#078 cut off at the left edge?

Cropping the head pulls it close, as if the animal has just walked into frame, and leaves the right half of the canvas bare white. That empty space gives the tusk somewhere to point and keeps a busy, multicoloured head from feeling crowded.

How raised are the paint strokes on CA#078?

Clearly raised. Each stroke is a short slab of thick acrylic laid with a palette knife, standing proud of the canvas with ridged edges that throw small shadows. The white background is flat by contrast, so all the texture is concentrated on the animal.

Is CA#078 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#078 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#078 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
