About this painting

A single wave curls over just left of centre, throwing up a plume of white spray as it breaks toward a pale sand beach. Its face is a translucent glassy green, and behind it the sea runs out in teal bands to a low, misty horizon. Above, a diagonal shaft of brightness cuts through the sky, fading deep blue at the top left into near-white haze.

The lower half carries the heaviest paint: wash and foam are laid in sharp-edged knife strokes that stand off the canvas in white ridges, thinning out over bare sand in the bottom corner. The sky, by contrast, is smoothly blended.

TA#081 is an original textured seascape painting showing breaking wave rolling onto a pale sand beach, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The horizon sits roughly two-fifths of the way down, so the canvas suits places where people stand and look, such as a spa corridor or the wall facing a freestanding bath, with the waterline near standing eye height. In a bathroom, choose a wall beyond the reach of splashes. White tile, chalk-blue cabinetry, bleached timber and nickel fittings all sit well with the teal. Opposite a hotel bed, it gives the room a view.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#081 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#081 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Where does the light come from in TA#081?

From the upper right. A diagonal band of brightness crosses the sky, the spray at the crest is the whitest point, and the foam on the sand catches highlights along its upper edges, so a lamp placed to the right of the canvas works with the painted light rather than against it.

How thick is the foam on the beach in TA#081?

The foam is the thickest paint on the canvas. Each ridge is a knife stroke pushed up into a raised white lip that throws a thin shadow, so close up it looks like real wash drying on sand, and from across a room the ridges merge into lacy bands.

Is TA#081 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#081 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#081 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
