About this painting

Five tall columns of horizontal ridges fill the canvas like stacked shutters, all in a chalky white paste combed into tight parallel lines. Teal blue soaks into two blocks at opposite corners, top left and lower right, and the same blue shows faintly in the grooves between ridges, darkening toward violet in the middle columns, while pale yellow washes drift through the second column.

The columns do not quite align. In some the ridges tilt downward, so the seams between them waver, and the eye travels diagonally from one teal corner to the other.

TA#1120 is an original textured geometric painting showing columns of combed horizontal ridges in white with blue and pale yellow patches, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Behind a bed or along a spa treatment corridor, the ridged white surface does the job of a panelled wall without the weight of joinery. It sits naturally with pale oak, limestone, white tile and linen in sand or soft blue. For a bathroom, pick a well-ventilated wall clear of splashes. A wall washer set off to one side turns every ridge into a thin stripe of shadow; flat front lighting reduces it to a pale field with two blue corners.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bedroom and bathroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1120 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1120 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How were the ridges in TA#1120 formed?

The white paste is laid thickly and combed sideways one column at a time, leaving rows of parallel ridges with the blue and yellow washes showing in the grooves. Because each column was worked separately, the lines shift slightly at every seam, which is what gives the surface its woven, shutter-like look.

Does the teal in TA#1120 read as green or as blue?

Mostly blue. The corner blocks are a teal that leans blue and the grooves hold a darker blue-violet; there is no true green. Beside sage or eucalyptus fabrics it looks greener, beside navy or slate it looks bluer, so it can bridge both in one scheme.

Is TA#1120 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1120 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1120 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
