About this painting

Seen from directly above, a shoreline crosses the canvas on a diagonal: wind-ridged chocolate sand at the top, a strip of smooth warm grey in the middle, and a thick white crust of foam pushing up from the bottom. Along the top edge runs a band of dark gritty aggregate, like wet rock, with a pale glint of water caught in it.

The ripples in the brown sand follow the diagonal in soft parallel ridges, and the grey flat is scored with fine branching lines like the channels water leaves as it drains. The foam is the heaviest relief, crusted and lumpy, filling most of the lower half.

TA#012 is an original textured landscape painting showing aerial shoreline of brown sand ridges meeting a raised white foam bank, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The near-black strip and cool grey keep it from looking like a holiday picture, so it holds its own against microcement, grey terrazzo or honed limestone in a hotel bathroom, hung clear of the shower. Over a bed, the weight of the foam sits closest to the headboard and the dark band finishes the top edge cleanly. In a spa it suits slate, charcoal towels and low warm lighting better than bright white tiles, which make the grey look dull.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#012 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#012 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does each band of TA#012 show?

The edge of the tide from the air. The dark top strip suggests rocks beyond the beach, the brown band is dry sand rippled by wind, the grey is wet sand the last wave has just left, and the raised white crust is the surf itself.

Is TA#012 a warm or a cool painting?

Both, which is its use in a scheme. The chocolate sand is warm, while the grey flat, black rock and chalky foam are cool. That balance lets it bridge a room mixing warm timber with grey stone or concrete, where an all-beige beach picture would side with the timber.

Is TA#012 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#012 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#012 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
