About this painting

Two banks of heaped plaster close in from either side of a pale grey canvas, leaving a narrow grey channel down the middle like a river seen from the air. On the left a white crest curls over a caramel mass; on the right the bank darkens in steps from white through sand to chocolate brown.

The banks are built from overlapping scalloped dabs whose rims curl up like shells. The grey ground is combed instead, in fine horizontal streaks like still water. Heavy, busy banks against a flat, open middle are what keep the composition calm.

TA#214 is an original textured landscape painting showing thick plaster cloud-like shapes in white, tan and brown on grey, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Warm browns and soft grey settle easily into a living room or guest suite built on neutrals, and the empty grey centre stops it feeling crowded above a full sofa or a cluttered desk. In an office it suits a wall people pass rather than face all day, since the texture rewards a sideways glance. Greige or warm white walls flatter it; on stark white the grey ground can look flat, so choose a warm-toned bulb.

Specified for workspace & office, guest room & suite, living room and home office; it reads as cozy & warm and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#214 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#214 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does TA#214 show sandbanks, clouds or nothing in particular?

Any of the three. Hung upright it looks like sandbanks and a river seen from above, or clouds parting around a strip of sky, yet nothing is drawn literally. That lets it sit as comfortably in an abstract scheme as in a room built around nature and landscape.

Which part of TA#214 has the heaviest texture?

The scalloped banks, especially the white crests along their inner edges, where the plaster is heaped highest and curls over. The brown and caramel areas are nearly as thick. The grey channel is low, with only fine combed lines, so light falling across the canvas leaves the centre smooth and the sides deeply shadowed.

Is TA#214 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#214 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#214 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
