About this painting

One rust-brown stroke drops down the middle of a thick white ground like a torn ribbon, tapering to a point in the lower third. Around it, a slate-grey mass fans out toward the lower right, a black half-disc sits near the top and a black bar cuts in from the left edge. The white is a plaster-like build, scraped and dragged so it breaks into dry flecks against the darker colours.

Fine black lines are scratched over everything: a loose grid at the top left, a jagged scribble at the right. Most of the upper right is left open, so the heavy shapes have room.

AA#833 is an original abstract painting showing brown, grey and black splashes over white plaster with scribbled lines, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The rust stroke picks up terracotta, cognac leather and walnut; the grey answers concrete, limestone floors and taupe panelling. On a pure white wall the ground blends in and the dark shapes seem to float, while greige or taupe frames the whole canvas as one block. Its tall shape fills the wall a corridor runs toward, seen head-on by everyone walking down it. A ceiling spot set a little forward of the canvas grazes the scraped white and shows the build.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, guest room & suite and bedroom; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#833 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#833 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the thin black lines drawn across AA#833?

Fine scribbled marks laid on top of the paint: a loose grid near the top left and a jagged zigzag at the right edge. They read like handwriting or a sketch over the heavy shapes, and they keep the large brown and grey forms from feeling solid and static.

How does the white ground of AA#833 change in side light?

Under flat light it looks like a soft, slightly uneven white. Side lighting catches the scraped ridges of the plaster-like build and the dry flecks along the rust and black strokes, which throw tiny shadows. A wall washer or a tilted ceiling spot shows this best.

Is AA#833 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#833 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#833 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
