About this painting

Pale grey and chalk white are scraped across the canvas in broad horizontal pulls, with amber, rust and gold breaking through like light behind frosted glass.

A dark umber band frames the top and left edges, and the bottom deepens into chocolate brown, so the pale centre feels lit from within. The warm colour gathers in two places: a flicker of orange and amber in the upper middle, and a wider scatter of gold and rust across the lower half. Paint sits thick and broken, with ragged edges where one layer was dragged over another.

AA#257 is an original abstract painting showing layered knife strokes in white, grey, brown and gold, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its gold and umber notes settle easily into a hotel suite or bedroom with bronze lamps, smoked glass and taupe or mushroom upholstery. In a meeting room, a canvas this neutral gives a long wall depth without pulling attention from the table. It looks warmest under 2700K lamps, where the gold reads as amber; in cold daylight the greys take over and it turns quieter. The dark lower edge grounds it, so it can hang fairly low over a headboard or bench.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, bedroom and meeting & boardroom; it reads as cozy & warm and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#257 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#257 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which metals and woods pair with AA#257?

Brushed bronze, aged brass and smoked oak pick up the gold and umber, and walnut works where the room is darker. Polished chrome and cool steel look thin beside it. For fabrics, oatmeal linen, taupe velvet or rust wool echo the warmer patches without introducing a new colour.

Can AA#257 be painted with less gold and more white?

Yes. The gold and amber passages can be reduced to a few small glints, leaving a lighter surface of white and warm grey with the umber border kept. That quieter version suits Scandinavian or Japandi rooms where the full amount of gold would feel too rich.

Is AA#257 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#257 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#257 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
