About this painting

Scraped slabs of black, white and cool grey tilt across the canvas on a loose diagonal, with a soft patch of pale butter yellow held at the centre. The paint has been dragged with a wide blade, so every block has a broken, streaky edge where the colour beneath shows through, and white catches in the grooves of the dark areas like frost.

Black weighs down the top left and the whole right side; the lower left is the lightest part, almost white, with a faint touch of teal along the bottom edge. The yellow is pale enough to read as light through cloud, not a colour of its own.

AA#167 is an original abstract geometric painting showing scraped black, white, grey and pale yellow blocks with a teal hint, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Cool greys and blacks hold their own against warm, dark backgrounds: on a chocolate-brown panelled recess, as shown, it stays crisp where a paler canvas would look washed out. In a boardroom or study, pair it with charcoal felt, smoked oak or blackened steel, and answer the butter yellow with one brass lamp or a tan leather chair. A narrow wall or alcove suits its upright, stacked format.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, workspace & office, home office and living room; it reads as moody and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#167 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#167 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is AA#167 meant to be a winter scene?

Not by design, but it is easy to read it that way. Scraped white over black looks like snow on dark rock or frost on glass, and the pale yellow centre can suggest low winter sun. It was painted as an abstract, so it does not look out of place in midsummer.

What does the scraped surface of AA#167 look like up close?

Each block shows long parallel streaks where the blade dragged one colour over another, leaving gaps through which the layer underneath shows. The ridges are low rather than heaped, so the texture reads as grain more than relief, and it shows best with light from one side.

Is AA#167 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#167 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#167 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
