Wide gray and gold marble vein abstract canvas painting

Thin gold veins crack across a wide field of grey and white, running like the seams in a slab of marble from the upper left toward the centre. Around them the paint pools in soft translucent layers: a warm taupe cloud near the top, slate blue and dove grey petals spreading across the left, and one darker shape anchoring the lower middle.

Each pool is edged with a fine dark line, as if the colour dried at its rim, and the right third fades almost to white. The surface is smooth and flat, so the effect comes from transparency and line rather than texture.
