About this painting

Slate blue and charcoal fold into a pale plume that sweeps up to the right, as though a sheet of marble had been caught mid-pour. Thin gold veins thread through the lower third and break into flecks along the left edge.

The paint is laid in long, ridged strokes that follow the swell, giving the surface a grain like split stone, and the gold runs in narrow seams rather than broad patches. The upper right is left almost white, so the heavy left side has somewhere to open into.

AA#179 is an original abstract painting showing flowing marbled blue-grey and white veins laced with gold, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A long wall above banquette seating, the full run behind a reception counter, or the wall over a dining sideboard all suit the panoramic shape; aim for about two-thirds the width of whatever sits below. Because the plume rises toward the right, hang it so that movement leads toward the entrance or the window. Grey veined stone, fluted timber panelling and charcoal upholstery repeat its tones without competing.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#179 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#179 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does AA#179 read as grey or as blue on the wall?

Grey leads, with blue as the undertone. The darkest passages on the left are a slate blue close to charcoal, and the plume is white shaded with pale blue-grey, so most rooms see it as a stormy grey. Cool daylight brings the blue forward; warm lamps push it back.

How does the ridged surface of AA#179 look under side lighting?

The strokes run in long ridges along the sweep of the plume, so light from above or one side picks out those lines and the gold seams shine where they cross them. Flat, even light from the front makes the same surface look smoother, closer to polished stone.

Is AA#179 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#179 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#179 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
