About this painting

Black and silver towers stand along a waterline, and among them a cluster of white blocks catches a blaze of yellow and orange, as if lit from behind. Each building is pulled upward in one stroke of the palette knife, with fine scraped lines through the dark paint where windows would be. The reflections run down in broken grey streaks, and thick white ridges sit on the water near the centre.

Colour is rationed. One patch of cobalt at the left, a smear of red and a flick of green at the right are the only accents, so the warm core reads against a pale grey sky left almost bare.

IA#1088 is an original impressionist cityscape painting showing knife-painted city skyline with reflections, grey and black with yellow, orange and blue accents, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The grey-and-black body behaves like a neutral, so the canvas can go into a monochrome office or a panelled study without fighting the joinery, and the gold and orange centre becomes the one warm note in the room. Concrete, blackened steel, smoked oak and a tan leather chair that echoes the glow all suit it. A slim bar light fixed above the frame picks out the knife ridges on the water and lifts the white towers in the middle.

Specified for lobby & reception, meeting & boardroom, workspace & office, living room and home office; it reads as dramatic and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#1088 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#1088 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is IA#1088 a particular city's skyline?

No landmark can be picked out. The towers are invented, built from vertical knife strokes and scratched window lines, so the scene reads as a modern waterfront anywhere rather than New York, London or Dubai. The mirrored reflection doubles the skyline and keeps the long composition steady.

Which accent colours in IA#1088 can be carried into the furnishings?

The yellow-orange glow at the centre is the strongest, followed by a patch of cobalt blue at the left and small strokes of red and green at the right. Most schemes take just one: mustard or burnt orange cushions, or a cobalt rug, against grey and black that already match the towers.

Is IA#1088 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#1088 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#1088 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
