White blossoms crowd the centre of an upright blue field, their petals laid on in thick single strokes and warmed with pale yellow where they fold inward. Above them, hundreds of tiny white dabs scatter along fine dark twigs, while lower down the flowers give way to rounded petals of cobalt, violet and olive green, so the bouquet darkens as it nears the bottom edge.

Behind everything the ground is painted thinly in vertical streaks and drips, from near-white sky blue at the top to deep teal and navy below, which keeps the knife-laid petals crisp against it.
