About this painting

Twin snow peaks rise into a cobalt sky, and some twenty tiny skiers in red, navy and black trace their way down the broad white slope beneath. The mountain is built from thick white ridges laid on with a knife, each fold shadowed by a stroke of navy or cornflower blue, and the main summit catches an orange glow on its left face.

At the upper left, bands of red, orange, yellow and pink cloud sit low on the horizon. The lower half is almost all white, with long curved ridges for tracks and drifts, so the small figures stand out sharply against it.

TA#1070 is an original textured landscape painting showing sculpted white snow mountain with tiny skiers under a blue sky with colourful clouds, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

An obvious choice for a chalet hotel, ski-resort reception or après-ski bar, it also works in a city apartment that wants a cool white canvas with a story in it. The tiny figures reward close viewing, so hang it where people pause, beside a lift lobby, in a bar's waiting area or along an entrance wall, rather than high above a fireplace. Raw concrete, smoked timber panelling and deep blue upholstery suit it.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and entryway & hallway; it reads as uplifting and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1070 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1070 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How many skiers appear on TA#1070?

Around twenty, scattered over the lower half of the slope in red, navy, black and a little orange. Each is only a few strokes of paint, so their exact placement varies slightly from one hand-painted canvas to the next, and a different number of figures can be asked for when ordering.

How does the knife texture on TA#1070 look under a downlight?

Every ridge on the mountain casts a thin shadow on its lower side, so the folds read like wind-cut snow. The ridges on the lower slope run in long diagonals, and light angled from the upper left, matching the orange glow on the summit, shows them best.

Is TA#1070 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1070 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1070 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
