About this painting

Enormous plane trees crowd a village street, their grey-green trunks outlined in blue and their limbs twisting out of the top edge into gold and ochre leaves. Under them the road is being dug up: a heap of pale cobbles fills the foreground and squared white stones line the right-hand kerb, where workmen bend over the job.

On the left stand a cream house with green shutters, a green door and an old street lamp; two women in black wait by the wall, and another in blue carries a basket. Everything is drawn in thick, swirling strokes, bark and stone alike.

IA#062 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing huge plane trees over a village street with road menders, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A wide, busy scene that rewards a long look, so put it where people sit: above a banquette in a bistro or wine bar, along the long wall of a dining room, or facing the chairs in a reception waiting area. Olive and moss-green upholstery, aged brass, cane and warm oak all pick up its colours, and warm lamplight brings out the gold of the leaves rather than flattening it.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, dining room and home office; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#062 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#062 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the workers doing in IA#062?

Repairing the road. The foreground is a heap of loose pale cobbles, and along the right-hand side squared white blocks have been set out while men bend over them. It turns an ordinary street-mending job into a scene of village life under the trees.

How do the blue outlines in IA#062 affect its colour?

They cool the trunks down. Take them away and the scene would turn to ochre and gold alone; the blue edges and grey-green bark give it a second, cooler colour family, so it sits comfortably with slate blue or teal in a room as well as with warm wood.

Is IA#062 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#062 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#062 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
