About this painting

Black-olive arcs hang from the top edge and hook down through a grid of tall cream and taupe strips, like dark blades cutting through stacked paper. The strips are separate vertical planes in slightly different shades of sand, stone and khaki, their seams left visible, and the dark forms cross them: a broad crescent swinging from a bar at the upper right, a thin stripe on the left that curls into a crescent near the base, and a tapering blade dropping into the bottom edge at the centre.

In the top-left panel a faint grey spire shape is the one detail found only on a second look.

WA#048 is an original wabi-sabi geometric painting showing vertical beige panels with dark olive-black curved wedge shapes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The vertical strips repeat the rhythm of door frames, panelling and tall windows, so it settles naturally on an entrance hall wall between two doors or where a corridor turns a corner. Against charcoal or ink-blue walls the cream panels brighten; on white walls the black arcs take over. In a meeting room, hang it behind the head of the table, where its restrained palette frames whoever sits there without competing with a screen.

Specified for corridor & circulation, meeting & boardroom, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as peaceful and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#048 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#048 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the faint shape in the top corner of WA#048?

A small grey spire, like a steeple or obelisk sketched in thin paint, sitting inside the top-left panel. It is barely darker than the cream around it, so from across a room it disappears, and close up it gives the abstract a quiet hint of architecture.

Why does WA#048 look like a collage?

The tall cream and khaki strips are painted to resemble overlapping cut paper, with visible seams between them, and the black arcs cross the joins the way cut shapes do in cubist papier collé. It is all paint on one canvas, but it has that layered, assembled look.

Is WA#048 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#048 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#048 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
