About this painting

Cream paint heaped on with a knife covers most of the tall canvas, broken low down by patches of powder blue, khaki tan and near-black, like stones showing through thawing snow.

The upper half is almost all cream, worked in short overlapping strokes whose lifted edges cast small shadows. Colour gathers in the lower third: the darkest marks sit in both bottom corners, pale blue and tan drift between them, and two tiny black flecks float higher up so the top never goes blank. With so quiet a palette, the texture does most of the work, looking flat at noon and deeply carved in low evening light.

TA#836 is an original textured painting showing heavy cream and beige knife impasto with pale-blue, brown and charcoal patches, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its weight sits at the bottom, so it looks settled above a low bed base or a long credenza, where the dark corners echo the line of the furniture. Charcoal, stone grey and greige walls suit it; on bright white the cream turns warmer and the blue cooler. In meeting rooms, hang it on the narrow end wall opposite whoever chairs the session, where its muted tones will not fight with screens or presentation boards.

Specified for guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom, bedroom and living room; it reads as calming and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#836 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#836 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are the darkest marks in TA#836 kept to the bottom corners?

They anchor the composition. With near-black at both lower corners, the eye reads the canvas from a firm base up into open cream, the way a landscape rests on dark earth. Placing them higher would make the picture feel top-heavy and much busier.

Which textiles and finishes pick up the colours of TA#836?

Bouclé, undyed wool and oatmeal linen match the cream, a duck-egg cushion repeats the pale blue, and blackened steel or dark-stained oak answers the charcoal corners. Keep metal finishes brushed rather than polished, because bright brass would become the warmest note in the room.

Is TA#836 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#836 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#836 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
