About this painting

The view runs straight down a gothic nave to a black and white altar screen, while a salmon-pink rib vault opens like a fan high overhead.

Tall lancet windows with pale tracery fill the upper walls, and their light washes the cream stone evenly, with hardly a shadow. Small white statues stand on the piers and the altar, two dark boards of coats of arms hang above it under little pennants, and a warm painted altarpiece glows at the centre. The perspective is exact and the brushwork smooth, in the tradition of 17th-century Dutch church interiors, so it feels like looking through a window into the building.

HA#189 is an original hyperrealist cityscape painting showing gothic cathedral interior with vaulted ceiling, altar and statues, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The deep central perspective works like a false window: at the end of a corridor or facing lift doors, it seems to push the wall back several metres. Hang it with the altar roughly at eye level so the vanishing point lines up with the viewer and the vault rises above. Cream limestone, honed marble, oak panelling and brass all belong with it, in a heritage building or a quiet modern boardroom. The palette stays light, so it holds up on a mid-tone wall.

Specified for lobby & reception, corridor & circulation, meeting & boardroom and home office; it reads as peaceful and moody.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#189 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#189 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the dark boards hanging above the altar in HA#189?

Panels painted with rows of coats of arms, with small pennants on poles above them, a heraldic display of the kind once common in large northern European churches. They are the darkest notes in the upper half and lead the eye from the altar up into the salmon ribs of the vault.

How does HA#189 change between daylight and evening lighting?

In daylight the cream stone and pale windows look cool and airy. Under warm evening lamps the salmon ribs and the glowing altar picture warm up and the whole interior turns honey-coloured. Either way the canvas stays light in value, so it never becomes a dark hole on the wall.

Is HA#189 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#189 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#189 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
