About this painting

Rows of short white dashes, staggered like brickwork, build one large circle in the middle of a weathered tan canvas. Each dash is a single thick stroke of raised white paint with a squared, uneven end, and no two match in length, so the edge of the circle is ragged rather than drawn. The rows shorten toward the top and bottom to round the shape off.

Behind it, the ground is scumbled in tan, mushroom and dark brown with vertical streaks and faint traces of green and rust, darkest toward the lower corners. There is no black anywhere; the contrast is chalk white against earth.

WA#030 is an original wabi-sabi geometric painting showing circle built from white brick-like dashes on a weathered tan ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its quiet geometry gives a meeting room or boardroom something to rest on without imagery that might distract, while spa and guest-suite settings bring out its earthy, handmade side. Linen, rattan, clay, oak and raw plaster suit it, and a few matt black accents sharpen the white. The circle sits dead centre, so hang it centred on its wall, over a bed or between a pair of sconces, rather than pushed to one side.

Specified for guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom, spa & wellness and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#030 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#030 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does the circle in WA#030 have a meaning?

Nothing fixed. In wabi-sabi and Zen-influenced art a circle is often read as wholeness or completeness, and here it is built from many small, imperfect marks, which suits that idea. Others simply see a woven basket, a full moon or a stone wall.

How raised are the white dashes on WA#030?

Clearly raised: each dash is a thick stroke that stands proud of the thin, flat ground, so its upper edge catches light and a fine shadow forms beneath it when lit from above. The difference in surface between dashes and ground is as strong as the difference in colour.

Is WA#030 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#030 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#030 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
