About this painting

Three rounded stones crowd a square canvas: a broad white one at top left, a burnt terracotta one rising from the bottom edge in front of it, and a charcoal form with flat, faceted sides pressing in from the right.

Each shape is cut by the edge, so the stones feel too big for the frame. Their surfaces are thick and granular, like weathered stucco, and the beige ground between them is worked a little smoother. Two fine dark lines fall from the top edge and converge near the base of the terracotta stone, slipping through the gaps like cracks or loose threads.

WA#895 is an original wabi-sabi geometric painting showing textured plaster with white, terracotta and grey organic shapes on beige, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A square canvas centres neatly over a bed, a low sofa or a treatment couch, and the dark stone on the right carries enough weight to balance an asymmetric wall, such as a bedhead with a window to one side. It belongs with natural, matt materials: limewash, linen, travertine, unlacquered oak and clay pottery. Under a warm 2700K downlight the terracotta glows and the grain of each stone shows.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bedroom and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#895 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#895 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the two fine lines across WA#895?

They are hairlines drawn in dark paint. Both drop from the top edge, one almost vertical and the other slanting in from the right, and they meet near the foot of the terracotta stone. Against the soft, rounded shapes they add something sharp and deliberate, the way a crack or a thread would.

How does the terracotta in WA#895 sit with wood and stone?

It is a muted, mid-toned burnt orange, not a bright one, so it warms oak, walnut and teak without clashing, and the charcoal stone gives grey limestone or slate something to answer. Against cool white walls the terracotta becomes the warmest point in the room.

Is WA#895 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#895 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#895 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
