About this painting

Patched like a wall repainted over decades, the canvas stacks slate blue, chalk white, sand and deep navy rectangles, their edges scraped back so earlier coats show through.

A dark navy seam runs straight across the middle and splits the picture in two. Above it, powder blue is dragged downward in streaks and a tall sand strip on the right breaks into fine crackle like old plaster. Below, a caramel block scored with a crosshatch sits beside a solid navy square, the heaviest note on the canvas, low on the left. The paint is laid on thickly and then scratched, so ridges catch the light across the whole surface.

AA#340 is an original abstract geometric painting showing weathered rectangles of blue, beige and white with scraped edges, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its worn surface belongs with materials that also show age: limewash, microcement, travertine, dark-stained oak or blackened steel. Against black stone or charcoal joinery the low navy block picks up the dark finishes and the sand strip glows by contrast. Light it from above at a shallow angle so the crackle and the scratched grid read. In a guest bedroom the muted blues stay quiet enough to face the bed.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, guest room & suite and bedroom; it reads as calming.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#340 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#340 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does AA#340 look aged rather than freshly painted?

The layers are built up and then partly taken away. Lighter coats are scraped back to reveal blue and navy beneath, fine lines are scratched into the paint, and the sand strip is given a crackled finish. The look borrows from wabi-sabi taste, which values wear and imperfection over a smooth, new surface.

What colours should sit beside AA#340 in a scheme?

Take cues from its two families: cool slate and powder blue, and warm sand and caramel. Linen, natural oak and cognac leather pick up the warm side, while navy cushions or a dark door frame echo the low navy block. Chalky off-white suits the scraped surface better than a bright white wall.

Is AA#340 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#340 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#340 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
