Carved gold and olive mountain range relief painting

Dozens of jagged peaks crowd edge to edge across a wide canvas, every ridgeline traced in raised white like fresh snow and every slope scored with fine gold and olive lines.

There is no single summit. The range climbs in overlapping rows from the bottom edge up to a thin strip of pale sky, the lower slopes darker olive-grey and the upper ones warmer gold, so the colour itself creates distance. The relief is deep: each crest stands as a sculpted ridge, and the hatching on the faces runs downhill like erosion gullies. Soft patches of white mist sit low on the left.

With no peak to centre on, the range tolerates an off-centre hang, which helps on a long dining wall where the table sits to one side, or above a reception counter. Warm greige, taupe and mushroom walls bring out the gold; rattan, boucle and smoked glass sit easily beside it. A wall-washer at one end of the canvas sends light along its length, and the crests then throw long shadows across the slopes.
