About this painting

Snow-covered peaks run the full width of the upper canvas, the highest rising just right of centre, with steel-blue shadow on their left-hand faces. The snow is built up in raised plaster ridges that follow each crest and gully, giving the range real relief. Below, a pale river braids out of the mountains on the right and winds across a valley of slate grey, laid in long horizontal sweeps much lower on the surface.

Rust-brown moorland strips at the left and right of the valley floor are the only warm notes, and the grey cloud above is barely textured.

TA#904 is an original textured landscape painting showing snow-capped mountains with plaster relief ridges over a river valley, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

At 2:1 the canvas spans a wall the way the range spans the view, so it suits the long side of a boardroom, read across the table, or a lobby wall behind a seating group where guests take it in while they wait. White, grey and slate blue sit easily with pale stone, grey oak and navy upholstery, and the brown valley floor links to leather or walnut. Wall washers or a ceiling spot angled down make the snow ridges cast shadow.

Specified for lobby & reception, meeting & boardroom, living room and dining room; it reads as peaceful and calming.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#904 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#904 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How does the plaster relief on TA#904 change with the light?

With a light from above, every snow ridge throws a fine shadow downhill and the range looks sculpted. In flat, even light the ridges soften and the white reads more like painted snow. The valley and sky stay almost smooth either way, which keeps the contrast in the peaks.

Is the snow in TA#904 pure white?

No. The lit faces are a chalky white, but the shaded flanks are steel blue and blue-grey, and the cloud above is a warm pale grey. Against a stark white wall the snow looks slightly cool; against warm off-white or greige it looks brighter.

Is TA#904 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#904 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#904 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
