About this painting

Sage and jade mountain ridges fold down from both sides to a pale, still lake at the centre, with snow-dusted peaks lifting into a soft grey-white sky. Two tall dark pines stand at the left edge and a smaller stand of them closes the right, framing the valley between them.

The slopes are laid with long diagonal knife strokes that follow the fall of the land, so the ridges themselves stand up off the canvas. Lower down, the shoreline breaks into flecks of ochre, lime and cream grass, the warmest colour in an otherwise cool picture.

IA#863 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing green mountain range with a lake and pine trees, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A wide, low horizon suits walls that people look at while seated: above a long dining sideboard, or facing the chairman's seat across a boardroom, where the valley stands in for a window. Sage and pewter tones settle with oatmeal linen, walnut and matt black; the ochre foreground lets it share a room with tan leather or brass. Keep the lighting neutral rather than very warm, since a strongly yellow bulb pushes the grey sky toward beige.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, guest room & suite, living room and dining room; it reads as peaceful and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#863 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#863 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the water in IA#863 a river or a mountain lake?

A mountain lake. The pale blue-grey water spreads across the valley floor between grassy banks, painted in flat horizontal sweeps with no rapids or current lines. It picks up the same soft light as the clouds above, which is what makes the centre of the picture feel so still.

Are the pines and slopes of IA#863 painted more thickly than the lake?

Yes, the mountain slopes and the two dark pines hold most of the paint. The slopes are pulled in long ridges whose edges pick up the light, and the pines are built from short stacked strokes. The sky and the lake are smoother, which keeps the middle of the canvas quiet while the sides do the work.

Is IA#863 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#863 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#863 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
