Forest waterfall and rocky river landscape painting

A broad waterfall pours over a forest ledge in dozens of white and pale-blue strands, throwing a cloud of spray across the left of the canvas. Dark green trees close in at both sides, leaving only a sliver of blue sky at the top.

In the lower half the river flattens into a wide, sandy-grey pool before tumbling over a second, low step in the foreground, where grey rocks break the water at right. The falls are painted in long downward drags of white over blue; the mist is brushed thin, so it reads as light rather than paint.
