About this painting

Three wooden boats lie pulled up in a row on a pale rocky shore, the nearest with a deep navy hull and an ochre rim, all pointing towards a calm turquoise bay. Out on the water a handful of small brown sails gather below a grey wooded headland, with faint blue hills on the far right.

The canvas works in three bands: crusted cream and ochre stone at the bottom, smooth water streaked with fine level strokes in the middle, and a heavy grey cloud bank above with an orange sun glowing through it. The drama sits in sky and shore, leaving the bay as the quiet part.

IA#060 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing wooden boats beached beside a turquoise bay with distant sails, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The horizon sits close to the middle, which keeps it steady on a tall wall: opposite the bed in a resort guest room, between two wardrobe doors, or on a stair landing where it is seen on the way up. Travertine, sand-coloured plaster, pale oak and rattan all echo the shore. In a windowless corridor the open horizon gives the wall a view it otherwise lacks.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bedroom and bathroom; it reads as peaceful and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#060 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#060 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does the bay in IA#060 look smoother than the shore and sky?

Because it is painted differently. The water is laid in fine, level strokes with only a few white glints, while the stones and clouds are built up thick. That flat band gives the eye a resting place between two busy, textured areas.

Which colours from IA#060 should soft furnishings follow?

Turquoise and navy from the bay and the nearest hull, with cream and pale ochre from the shore and sky. The orange glow behind the cloud is small; repeat it once, in a cushion or a lamp base, rather than across the whole scheme, or it will outweigh the calm of the painting.

Is IA#060 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#060 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#060 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
