Soft teal and peach abstract sea horizon acrylic painting

A single dark teal wave breaks on the left of a hazy sea, and its white crest is the only sharp note in a canvas made almost entirely of mist. Behind it a taupe sandbar runs toward the right edge, while above, the sky warms from cream to a soft peach glow sitting high in the centre.

Paint stays thin and blended almost everywhere. The wave, the shoal and a scatter of tiny flecks around them are raised in small dabs, so the texture gathers at mid height along the horizon, and the bottom third is left as pale grey-blue haze with hardly a mark in it.
