About this painting

Slate-blue storm cloud presses down from the top left while a pale break opens on the right, and beneath it the sea lies almost flat, a thin navy band with one line of white surf. In the left foreground a sandbar catches the light in flecks of warm gold, the only warm note in a palette of grey, blue and cream.

The lower half is wet sand and shallow water blended to near-white, so a large part of the square is left almost empty. The paint is soft throughout, swept in long horizontal strokes, and the horizon is barely drawn, which keeps the mood quiet rather than stormy.

IA#843 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing moody grey-blue sky over a calm sea and pale sand with a gold accent and soft horizon, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

At the far end of a boardroom, above the chair at the table's head, the square format settles well: the image is calm, has no busy detail to compete with a screen or a speaker, and its navy and slate tie in with grey wool upholstery and walnut. It looks most at home on panelled or limewashed walls in warm grey. In a spa or guest suite, light it softly from above; the pale lower half then reflects that light back into the room.

Specified for guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom, spa & wellness and bedroom; it reads as calming and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#843 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#843 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the gold strip in the foreground of IA#843?

A sandbar catching low sunlight. It is painted as a broken band of gold and ochre flecks across the left foreground, the single warm touch anywhere in the picture. Brass lamps, honey-toned wood or camel upholstery near the painting will pick it up.

Is IA#843 too dark for a small bedroom?

Usually not. The dark slate is concentrated in the upper left corner; the lower half is cream and near-white, so the canvas is lighter overall than its stormy sky suggests. On a pale wall with warm bedside lighting it reads as a quiet grey-blue seascape rather than a heavy one.

Is IA#843 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#843 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#843 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
