About this painting

A tall white arch rises through overlapping planes of grey and cream, with a block of charcoal black wedged into the top left corner. Lower down, a small black square sits where the grey band framing the arch comes to an end, the one sharp accent in the middle of the picture. The planes have slightly ragged edges, as if torn from paper and layered, and a single fine dark line wanders down the left side before curving across the bottom.

Everything is painted flat, without shading; depth comes only from the steps between white, cream, dove grey and charcoal.

MA#741 is an original minimalist painting showing soft grey, cream and black flat shapes with a thin drawn line, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A square canvas centres neatly above a desk, a bed or a lone armchair, and these quiet greys will not argue with timber, stone or upholstery around them. The charcoal corner wants one dark object nearby to balance it, such as a black lamp, a dark chair or an ebonised side table, placed on the same side. Grey boucle, pale concrete, blackened steel and light oak all sit well with it in a study or a calm guest suite.

Specified for workspace & office, guest room & suite, home office and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and calming.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#741 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#741 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is MA#741 a collage of torn paper?

No, it is painted entirely in acrylic. The slightly ragged borders between the planes are cut in with the brush to imitate layered, torn paper, and the fine dark line wandering across the lower left is part of the painting too.

Why is there so little black in MA#741?

Because a small amount does a lot of work. The charcoal corner and the little square near the centre anchor the pale planes and give the eye two fixed points. Spread any further, the black would turn the picture graphic and lose its soft, layered feel.

Is MA#741 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#741 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#741 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
