Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

Two broad grey ribbons twist across a white ground, one sweeping down from the top right corner and the other cutting in from the left edge, and where they cross the paint deepens into a dark, lens-shaped knot. Fine parallel striations run the length of each band and bend with its turns, so the ribbons look like pleated silk or drifting smoke rather than solid shapes.

Translucency does the work: the pale grey lets white glow through, the overlap reads twice as dark, and the corners at top left and bottom right stay empty. It is painted thinly with a dry brush on a flat surface.

MA#723 is an original minimalist painting showing translucent grey ribbon-like wave lines on white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The soft greys hold up beside marble veining and pale limestone, so it belongs in a spa treatment corridor, beside a hotel vanity outside the wet zone, or above a bed with a dove-grey headboard. The ribbon runs corner to corner, carrying the eye diagonally upward, which helps a room with a modest ceiling feel taller. Cool daylight keeps the grey neutral; warm bulbs push it gently toward taupe, so choose lamps to match the stone around it.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#723 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#723 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is the centre of MA#723 darker than the rest?

That darker wedge is where the two ribbons overlap. Each band is painted as a thin, see-through grey, so where one passes over the other the tones stack, much as two layers of chiffon do. It gives the picture depth without introducing a second colour.

How are the fine lines inside the ribbons of MA#723 made?

With a dry brush. Very little paint is loaded, and the splayed bristles are pulled along each ribbon following its curve, leaving dozens of parallel hairlines. Up close they look like the grain of brushed silk; at room distance they blur into a soft sheen.

Is MA#723 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#723 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#723 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
