Agate bands in dove grey, chalk white and pale sand ripple out across a square canvas, as if a polished stone slice had been enlarged until its growth lines fill the wall.

Two olive-beige cores sit near the centre, one a long narrow sliver and one a rounded triangle, and every contour nests around them. Pigment is laid in thin, watery layers, so each band has a darker hairline edge where the colour pooled and a paler middle. No colour is strong; the interest lies in rhythm, in how the lines pinch together and then open out again.
