About this painting

A pale grey channel winds down a tall canvas between two heavy masses of colour, slate teal on the upper left and burnt orange on the right, like a riverbed viewed from overhead. A broken trail of gold flecks spills out of the top right corner and down the channel, and fine white and black lines meander through it like currents.

The relief is deepest in the orange, which is scooped into rows of crescent-shaped ridges. The teal is sculpted in rougher folds and darkens to a speckled navy at the lower left; a thin gold line edges it, and a black band separates the orange from the grey.

AA#687 is an original abstract landscape painting showing navy and burnt-orange textured fields split by a black fissure with gold leaf and white lines, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Deep relief rewards an oblique view as much as a straight one, so hang it where people pass close: beside a gallery entrance, on a lobby pillar or along the approach to a bar. The burnt orange is the warmest note and brings out cognac leather, rust velvet and terracotta tiles, while the teal links it to darker blue upholstery. A spotlight from one side at a steep angle shows the crescent ridges best.

Specified for gallery & retail, lobby & reception, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#687 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#687 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the grey channel in AA#687 represent?

Nothing fixed, though many viewers take it for a river or canyon viewed from overhead, with the teal and orange masses as the land on either side and the gold as light catching the water. The meandering white lines strengthen that reading, though the piece works just as well as pure abstraction.

Which end of AA#687 goes at the top?

Yes. The gold trail begins in the top right corner and falls toward the centre, and the orange mass rises from the lower right to meet it. Turned over, the gold would climb instead of fall and the speckled navy would sit at the top, so hang it with the gold in the upper corner.

Is AA#687 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#687 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#687 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
