About this painting

Saguaro cacti stand against layered blue mountains under a hot orange sunset sky, with a jagged turquoise ridge cutting into the glow. Below it the ranges step down in bands of cerulean, cobalt and violet, each dragged across in ridged horizontal strokes, to a thin strip of plum desert floor.

The cacti are not all green. The tallest, at right, is lime and chartreuse with dark shadow down one side, while the central one is pale blue and nearly dissolves into the mountains behind. The lower third is a thick tangle of red, orange, yellow and purple scrub in short, choppy dabs.

CA#1158 is an original colorful landscape painting showing saguaro cacti in a desert with blue mountains under an orange sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The orange-over-blue split means the lighting decides which half leads: warm evening lamps make the sky glow, cool daylight pushes the mountains forward. In a desert resort, hang it facing the entrance doors, at the end of a guest corridor, or on the narrow wall beside reception. Sand or adobe-toned plaster walls and black iron fittings suit it; stark white makes the orange louder.

Specified for lobby & reception, corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#1158 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#1158 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which desert does CA#1158 show?

Saguaro cacti are native to the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona and northwest Mexico, so the scene points there, though no single view is copied. That makes it a natural fit for hotels, restaurants and homes with a southwestern theme.

Why is one cactus in CA#1158 painted blue?

The pale blue cactus at the centre takes on the colour of the mountains behind it, so it reads as further back, while the lime-green one at right is warm and bright and comes forward. Using cool and warm versions of the same form gives depth without drawn perspective.

Is CA#1158 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#1158 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#1158 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
