About this painting

Teal mountain ridges fold down into a valley that glows orange, and below them the lower half of the canvas is packed with fat slabs of red, tangerine, mustard, turquoise and pink paint that read as a field of massed blooms. The slabs grow bigger towards the bottom edge, each with a crisp raised rim where the knife lifted.

Above, a peach and cream sky is worked in swirling knife strokes with a coral streak at the top, and crimson and maroon pool in the shadowed folds of the mountains. The calm upper third and the crowded lower half give the painting two speeds.

CA#939 is an original colorful landscape painting showing teal mountains above a valley of red, orange and yellow knife blobs, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

It reads best when people walk towards it and watch the valley open up: on a restaurant wall facing the entrance, behind a bar where the reds catch low amber light, or opposite the lift doors on a hotel floor. Keep it fairly low, since the thickest paint is in the bottom half and should sit close to eye level. Warm grey stone, smoked oak and olive or rust upholstery let the colours glow.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#939 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#939 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the shapes in the lower half of CA#939 meant to be flowers?

Loosely. The rounded, cupped slabs of red, orange and pink read as massed blooms seen close up, but none is drawn as a particular flower, and the turquoise and mustard ones are pure colour. It works equally as an abstract field, which is why it holds up at close range.

Which part of CA#939 carries the thickest paint?

In the lower half. The bloom slabs overlap in layers with raised edges, so in raking light each casts a short shadow on the next. The sky and mountains are thinner and dragged rather than piled, and the glowing orange band across the middle is the smoothest strip of the canvas.

Is CA#939 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#939 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#939 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
