About this painting

A circle split into black and grey quarters sits at the top right of a chalky grey canvas, and a single long diagonal slices down from the upper left corner to meet it. Below, two triangles touch at their points like an hourglass, a half-moon bowl of deep charcoal rests on a pale arc, and a white half-disc bites into the left edge.

The dark is not pure black but a very deep charcoal with a hint of navy, and the greys lean warm, towards greige. Fine scratches and faint hand-drawn guide lines run through both, giving the flat colour a dry, weathered skin.

AA#217 is an original abstract geometric painting showing geometric circles and triangles in black and warm grey, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Hard-edged geometry suits rooms where decisions get made: the end wall of a boardroom facing the head of the table, a study wall behind the desk where it shows on video calls, an entrance with a console and a sculptural lamp. Pair it with boucle, pale oak, black metal and off-white plaster. The dark masses meet the right and bottom edges, so leave it unframed or float it in thin pale oak rather than black.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, workspace & office, home office and entryway & hallway; it reads as bold and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#217 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#217 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is AA#217 connected to Bauhaus design?

In spirit. Its vocabulary of circles, half-moons, triangles and one dominant diagonal on a limited palette comes from early twentieth-century Bauhaus and Constructivist graphics, so it sits naturally with furniture from that lineage, such as tubular steel chairs, plain oak tables and globe lamps.

Are the scratches on the surface of AA#217 intentional?

Yes, they are part of the finish. Fine lines are worked into the charcoal and grey on purpose, giving a worn, chalky texture close to weathered stone. They are clear up close and fade at a distance, where the shapes resolve into flat colour.

Is AA#217 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#217 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#217 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
