About this painting

Rectangles of black, charcoal, slate grey and chalky white are stacked in uneven rows down AA#265, overlapping like patches sewn onto a well-worn cloth.

Short white dashes run along several seams and across the bottom row, like running stitches, which makes the textile reading even stronger. No two blocks are finished alike: some are near-solid black, others scuffed and clouded so a lighter layer shows through, with edges that look torn rather than cut. The biggest dark block sits at left centre, and a pale row across the upper quarter plus a white block low at the left stop the grid from turning heavy.

AA#265 is an original abstract geometric painting showing patchwork grid of rough black, charcoal, grey and white rectangular paint blocks, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The grid suits architectural interiors: an office wall opposite concrete, plywood or black steel shelving, a boutique where it hangs beside rails of monochrome clothing, or a living room with a long, low sofa that sets off its upright shape. Warm off-white or putty walls suit it best; on pure white the chalky blocks blur into the wall. Light it with a broad, even wash rather than a tight spot, so every block reads with equal weight.

Specified for workspace & office, gallery & retail, home office and living room; it reads as moody and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#265 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#265 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the small white dashes along the edges of AA#265?

They are painted marks that imitate running stitches, the kind used to join patches of fabric. They follow several seams and the bottom row, so the blocks read as pieces stitched together rather than painted squares. Up close they are brushed dashes of paint, not thread.

Would AA#265 suit a Japandi or wabi-sabi interior?

Yes. The worn, mended look of its blocks echoes the patched indigo cloth and aged timber those interiors favour, while the strict grid keeps it orderly. Pair it with raw oak, paper lamps and stoneware; glossy lacquer and polished chrome make the scuffed surfaces look accidental rather than deliberate.

Is AA#265 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#265 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#265 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
