About this painting

Combed rings, scored into thick white paste with grooves as fine as a record's, overlap in loose rows across a black ground, and several of them are brushed over in burnt ochre. Each white patch is spread on heavily and then dragged with a comb, so the rings stand as real ridges you could run a finger along.

Between the patches the black is dry-brushed and broken, letting flecks of white through, and small cross-hatched squares sit in the gaps like stamped tiles. Ochre arrives three ways: half-rings over the combing, one upright bar near the top, and a bright arch at lower right.

AA#219 is an original abstract geometric painting showing combed concentric circle ridges in black, white and ochre, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Black ground against white ridges gives contrast strong enough to hold a shop or gallery wall where people move quickly, and it anchors a narrow entrance or a study. Light from one side or from above throws shadow into every groove; flat front light loses half the effect. Black furniture, warm oak, rattan and cream upholstery suit it, and the ochre ties in with cognac leather or a vase of dried grasses.

Specified for gallery & retail, workspace & office, entryway & hallway and home office; it reads as bold and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#219 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#219 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the combed rings of AA#219 look like close up?

They are real grooves pulled through a raised layer, with ridges that catch light along one side. Up close you can see where the comb skipped or lifted, so some rings break off or cross each other, which keeps the pattern from looking mechanical.

What does the ochre add to AA#219?

Warmth. Take the ochre away and only a strict black and white study remains; the burnt ochre arcs and the single upright bar add a rust-gold note that links to timber, leather and brass and keeps the contrast from feeling cold in a home or a softly lit shop.

Is AA#219 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#219 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#219 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
