About this painting

A thick black beam crosses the canvas from the left edge and runs into a dark, dome-shaped mass on the right, laid down with the weight of a single wide stroke.

Above it, a broken vertical black mark climbs the upper left beside a large patch of white, while khaki and olive panels fill the upper right and the lower centre. The paint is heavy and scraped, so earlier layers show through: grey streaks inside the black, torn white edges, a sliver of yellow at the borders. Little is blended, and each mark is left where it landed.

AA#249 is an original abstract painting showing bold black gestural strokes over white and khaki, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Raw black and khaki belong with materials that look used: blackened steel, waxed leather, reclaimed timber, concrete and honed stone. In a restaurant or bar, hang it where guests pass at close range and can see the scraped layers; in a home office it stiffens a plain desk wall without adding colour. Its weight sits in the right half, so balance it with a floor lamp, plant or tall chair to the left.

Specified for restaurant & bar, workspace & office, living room and home office; it reads as moody and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#249 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#249 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does AA#249 depict anything recognisable?

No. It is gestural abstraction: the black bars may suggest a bridge, a scaffold or a piece of furniture to some viewers, but nothing is drawn deliberately. The subject is the movement of the brush and the clash between heavy black and a pale, broken ground.

How do the scraped layers of AA#249 show at close range?

Layered and scraped. Grey shows through thinner passages of black, the white has rough, dragged edges, and the khaki panels carry fine streaks where paint was pulled across. Side light from a wall washer or nearby window picks out those ridges; flat frontal light makes it read more graphic.

Is AA#249 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#249 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#249 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
