About this painting

Dark green reeds and bamboo leaves lean out of a dense clump at the bottom of a chalky sage-grey square, one long stem arching up to a fan of leaves near the top left.

The leaves are painted wet and dragged, so each starts as a solid stroke and ends in dry, split bristle marks. On the right a second cluster hangs at mid-height, half dissolved into grey; along the left edge a few fine arcs swing upward like wind-blown grass. The ground behind is brushed upward in pale strokes, which makes the whole stand seem to bend in a breeze.

WA#024 is an original wabi-sabi floral painting showing ink-style bamboo and reed grasses in muted green on grey, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A square sits evenly behind something centred, so use it behind a desk where it frames a video call, over a low tea table in a hotel suite, or on the end wall of a compact boardroom, opposite the chairman's seat. In a spa, set it opposite the loungers of a rest area. Its sage-grey ground suits pale cedar, rush matting, slate and unbleached paper screens. Keep the light warm white: under cold office tubes the grey drifts toward blue.

Specified for spa & wellness, meeting & boardroom, guest room & suite and home office; it reads as peaceful and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#024 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#024 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does bamboo symbolise in WA#024?

In East Asian ink painting bamboo is often read as resilience and integrity, because it bends in wind without breaking. Here the stems lean as if pushed by a breeze while the clump at the base stays dense and dark, which fits that reading without spelling it out.

How does WA#024 get its ink-wash look?

It is acrylic, thinned with water so it behaves like ink: it pools dark where the brush first lands and breaks into dry, split marks where it runs out. That is why the base clump looks almost black-green while the leaf tips are grey and feathery.

Is WA#024 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#024 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#024 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
