About this painting

A river opens toward the viewer between steep grey karst peaks, darkening from silver in the mist to a slate-violet pool at the foot of the canvas. The mountains are almost monochrome, pale ridges dissolving into fog, while the banks below are crowded with colour: ochre and lime trees on the left, dark pines on the right, pink and lilac wildflowers along the water.

A pale footpath winds along the left bank and a small flock of birds crosses the bend. Foliage carries the heaviest paint, dabbed on in layered strokes, while the river goes down in long, flat horizontal sweeps.

IA#351 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing river winding between misty karst mountains, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The dark water at the bottom gives the canvas its weight, so hang it fairly low over a long sideboard or bench, where the river seems to run out into the room. Its greys tie in with concrete, stone and charcoal joinery; the greens and ochres warm it on a white wall. Placed where a long hallway ends, or facing a spa reception desk, it gives a long sightline somewhere to finish.

Specified for spa & wellness, corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as peaceful and moody.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#351 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#351 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What kind of mountains are painted in IA#351?

Karst peaks: steep, isolated towers of limestone that rise straight out of river valleys and are often wrapped in mist. Mountain-and-water scenes built on these forms have a long history in East Asian landscape painting, where the river leads the eye up into the peaks.

How does the river in IA#351 lead the eye into the canvas?

It starts at the dark pool at the bottom, follows the river back past the bend and the small flock of birds, and ends in the pale gap between the two farthest peaks. That path from dark to light gives the vertical canvas real depth, especially when seen from a doorway.

Is IA#351 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#351 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#351 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
