About this painting

A slate-grey storm sky fills the top third, broken low on the left by a single streak of lemon light over a deep green valley. Below, a thin silver river curls between layered hills, and white poppies with black centres stand on dark stems in the foreground, with one orange bloom and a few crimson buds at the right edge.

Palette-knife work is plain to see: the sky is laid in flat, overlapping blades of grey, blue and white with sharp edges, and the hills are dragged in long horizontal strokes. The poppies, the brightest paint here, pull the gaze down, away from the weather.

IA#914 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing green valley with winding river under a grey sky, white poppies in the foreground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its greens and greys are dark enough to hold their own on a deep wall, such as charcoal, olive, inky blue or stained panelling, where the white poppies jump forward. Low, warm bar lighting, leather and dark timber suit it too. In a gallery or shop, hang it at eye level where customers can step close, because the knife edges in the sky are the reason to look twice.

Specified for gallery & retail, corridor & circulation, restaurant & bar and living room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#914 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#914 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are the poppies in IA#914 white rather than red?

White keeps the foreground in the same cool key as the grey sky and green hills, so the canvas stays moody instead of turning into a bright summer field. The black centres and the single orange bloom at lower right give the white flowers enough contrast to stand out.

How does the storm sky of IA#914 change with the lighting?

Under side light the knife ridges in the grey sky cast fine shadows and the weather looks heavier. Under flat frontal light it smooths into soft cloud, and the yellow break on the left becomes the brightest point. Light angled down from above shows both effects at once.

Is IA#914 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#914 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#914 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
