Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

A white torrent breaks out of grey, snow-streaked mountains and runs down through dark green hills toward the bottom edge of the canvas. Every slope is built from long knife strokes swept on the diagonal, so the hillsides seem to slide into the water from both sides. The palette keeps to moss and bottle green, charcoal, slate and white, with near-black in the deepest folds.

The sky is left almost empty, a flat pale grey with mist trailing over the far ridges, which gives the heavy, ridged ground below some room. The river carries the purest white anywhere on the canvas.

IA#163 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing white river cutting through green hills below misty grey peaks, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Cool and low-key in colour, it holds its own against dark, heavy materials: smoked oak panelling, black marble, charcoal plaster, deep green velvet. In a boardroom, hang it on the wall the long table points toward, so the river runs straight at the people seated. A gallery or showroom can set it on a grey partition visible from the door, and in a living room it takes the long wall above a low sofa with a single opal lamp beside it.

Specified for lobby & reception, meeting & boardroom, gallery & retail and living room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#163 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#163 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does IA#163 show a particular mountain range?

It is not titled after a named place. The peaks, meltwater river and grassy slopes are generic alpine features, so the canvas can give a hotel or office some mountain atmosphere without tying the wall to one destination.

Will the dark greens of IA#163 read as black in a dim room?

In low light the deepest folds drop toward black, while the white river and pale grey sky keep their shape, so the painting turns into a strong light-and-dark pattern in the evening. Daylight brings the moss and bottle greens back. Putting the room's lighting on a dimmer lets it show both moods.

Is IA#163 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#163 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#163 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
