About this painting

Pale gold wheat bends hard to the right under a low slate-grey sky, lit as if one shaft of sun has broken through just before the storm arrives. A dark band of hills runs along the horizon, and a pale patch of light glows in the cloud left of centre.

The paint is dry and scraped rather than thick: fine light lines dragged up through the brown foreground make single stems, and loose flecks of gold and white fly off the tops into the sky, carrying the wind across the picture. The lower left stays nearly black, so the brightest gold runs in a band through the middle.

IA#175 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing golden wheat field blowing under a stormy grey sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Facing the long side of a boardroom table, the horizon falls close to eye level for seated people, and the storm sky gives a serious room some weather without loud colour. It belongs with smoked oak, bronze, black steel and leather, which repeat its browns and gold, and suits a grill room or whisky bar with dark panelling. Keep the light warm and fairly low: the gold field brightens while the sky stays heavy, which is the contrast the picture is built on.

Specified for restaurant & bar, meeting & boardroom, dining room and living room; it reads as moody and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#175 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#175 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which way does the wind blow in IA#175, and does that affect where it hangs?

From left to right: every stalk and loose fleck leans that way. On a wall beside a doorway or window, place it so the wind blows into the room rather than towards the opening, which keeps attention inside the space instead of steering it out.

What can hang beside IA#175 on the same wall?

Quiet company, or nothing. Its range is narrow, gold, grey, brown and black, so a pair of small monochrome works or charcoal drawings can sit beside it, but a second landscape in strong colour would fight the storm light and flatten the gold.

Is IA#175 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#175 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#175 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
