About this painting

One long gold feather leans across a graphite canvas, its quill starting near the lower left and its tip reaching almost to the top edge. Each barb is sculpted as a separate raised lobe, rimmed with a fine bright gold line, so the feather looks built from overlapping petals rather than painted flat. The colour shifts down its length, pale champagne near the tip, deepening through honey to bronze and almost chocolate at the base, where the barbs bunch before the shaft trails away.

The graphite ground is smooth and unmarked, which sharpens the shadow every barb throws.

TA#182 is an original textured animal painting showing large gold feather sculpted in relief on a graphite ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A tall dark canvas like this looks best on a narrow wall flanked by darker materials: between timber slat panels at a restaurant entrance, at the end of a lift lobby, or in an entry niche with a recessed spot overhead. The gold reads warm, so pair it with smoked glass, charcoal stone, walnut and brushed brass rather than chrome. In a boutique, it also makes a strong backdrop behind a jewellery or accessories counter.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, corridor & circulation and entryway & hallway; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#182 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#182 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How raised are the barbs on TA#182?

They stand clearly proud of the ground. Each barb is a separate thickened lobe of paint with a ridged gold edge, and the base of the feather, where the lobes stack up, carries the heaviest relief. Under one directional light every lobe casts its own small shadow on the graphite.

Can the feather in TA#182 lean the other way for a matching pair?

Yes, a mirrored version can be requested, with the quill starting at the lower right instead. Hung either side of a doorway or a console, the two feathers then lean toward each other, which suits symmetrical entrances and twin lift lobbies.

Is TA#182 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#182 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#182 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
